CETAPS (Centre d’Etudes des Transformations des Activités Physiques et Sportives) is an academic research unit that analyses, on a multidisciplinary basis, changes related to physical and sporting activities. CETAPS’s goal is to analyse APS ('Activité physique, sportive et artistique', meaning physical, sporting and artistic activities) related transformations at both the participants and institutional levels including:
- socio-historical and socio-anthropological changes
- economic and political changes
- psychological changes
- biological changes
