Axis 5. Identities, Inequalities, Gender

We live in multicultural, multi-ethnic societies where citizenship and identity problems are currently extremely topical with both educators and human sciences researchers questioning them on a daily basis. Sociology, history, linguistics, law and cultural studies have to tackle new sets of problems and provide knowledge for political decision–makers to utilise. Research on the issues surrounding  ‘Identities, inequalities, gender have been grouped into a single themed axis and developed according to three sub-axes: (1) Gender, (2) Multilingualism, multiculturalism, migration, and (3) Power, citizenship, democracy.
